So the Blu Ray/DVD (Blu Ray for me) has finally arrived in the UK! I received my copy in the post a few days back and immediately I loaded up the extra’s, I felt like I was hunting for new footage again, just like when you’d hear a new video of Michael had been posted of him exiting his doctors, etc.
The extra’s just filled me up, my jaw dropped 5,6,7 times in the space of 10 minutes. Its such a shame to not have been able to see This Is It take place, however I “feel totally nourished by it.” The DVD gave me a new understanding of what could of been and was able to fill gaps in my imagination as to how the show was going to take place.
Seeing Travis and Michael in studio working on dance routines (working on “Drill” I believe) just shows the creative energy both of them had together, always looking to create something extraordinarily different.
Meeting the dancers was a nice input on the DVD. Getting an insight into their own feelings and sense of belonging within this Michael Jackson production, really hit hard. The chemistry was perfect. You could see it in them, you could see it in Michael.
Need I say anything on the film itself? It’s quite self-explanatory!
We now have the DVD and Blu Ray as our last documentation of Michael, however we can not let this be a negative view. Make it positive! Show it to everyone, family and friends, your children, your children’s children. Show the world who Michael really was and always was.
Michael may be gone, but his legend will always be here.
With the L.O.V.E.
